It was in October 2004 that the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance introduced the first Cyber Security Awareness Month. At home and work, more of us spent time online daily. Since its inception, Cyber Security Awareness Month has only grown more critical as the cyber threats online have become more sophisticated, more damaging, and often harder to spot by the untrained eye.
